Ministry Teams

Ministry Leadership Opportunities

The Bible encourages every believer to "put their hands to the good work" (Nehemiah 2.18). At Hart Baptist Church, the Ministry Teams allow volunteers to use their spiritual gifts in providing direction and leadership for the ministries of the church. Those participating on Ministry Teams make a one-year commitment to be actively involved in the work of the Ministry Team on which they serve. Every active member of the congregation is encouraged to participate on a Ministry Team.

Clothing Ministry - 'The Matthew 25:36 Clothing Ministry'
This Team organizes, coordinates, and implements the church clothing ministry and clothing distribution to those in our community with need. Contact: Team Leader

Fellowship Ministry - This Ministry Team coordinates and facilitates the church calendar, special events, and celebrations. Contact: Team Leader

Preschool and Children's Ministry - This ministry coordinates a variety of Church ministries, including: Nursery and Preschool scheduling; Sunday morning Children's Church scheduling and curriculum; 'Accelerate' (Wednesday evening Childrens ministry); summer children's ministries and activities; and Vacation Bible. The Director of Preschool and Children serves as team leader. Contact: Team Leader

Discipleship Ministry - The Discipleship Ministry Team coordinates discipleship and training opportunities for the congregation. This includes: Development of large and small group discipleship studies; review and attainment of curriculum; enlistment of teachers/facilitators; and, calendaring and scheduling. Contact: Team Leader

Facilities Ministry - Areas of this ministry include: custodial oversight, general upkeep, and repair of buildings and grounds. This team is responsible for vehicle repair, maintenance, and licensing. Contact: Team Leader

"Feed The Need" Food Ministry - This Team provides direction, guidance, and oversight for the Tuesday afternoon worship and food distribution ministry. The emphasis of this team is to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of those to whom the church ministers. Contact: Team Leader

Music Ministry - The Music Ministry Team coordinates and calendars the music ministry of the church. Opportunities include: Praise Team; musicians and vocalists; adult choir; special music; seasonal events; and special occasion presentations. The Minister of Music serves as team leader. Student Ministry - The Student Ministry Team coordinates the ministries and activities of students in grades seven through twelve. The Minister of Students serves as team leader. Contact: Team Leader

Shepherding/Outreach Ministry - This team involves both the church deacons and volunteers. The team ministers to the sick/shut-ins of the church and participates in the outreach ministries of the church. The chairman of deacons serves as team leader. Contact: Team Leader

Volunteer Staffing Ministry - This team: provides oversight of volunteer staffing the church office and library; implements church advertising; oversees the audio/visual ministry; and coordinates the card ministry. Contact: Team Leader
