Meet Rev. J. Bradley Hendrix, MDiv, ThM
( Wait a second...Just call me Pastor Brad )
As a native of Palmetto, GA, I became a born-again, baptized believer of Jesus at the age of 5! Growing up in Christian home, my family was active in our church and community. At the age of 15, I felt the Spirit develop a love for serving God and people while doing missional work in Atlanta!
In May 2006, I graduated from Mercer University (Macon, GA) with a Bachelor of Arts in Christianity. From there, I moved to Wake Forest, NC to attend Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Earning both the Master of Divinity Christian Ethics & Biblical Languages (May 2009) and the Master of Theology in Christian Ethics (December 2010), I am grateful for the many ministry mentors God brought into my life!
Ordained on my 25th birthday by my home church (Flat Creek Baptist Church - Fayetteville, GA), I have served full-time ministry work since. God has allowed me to serve as Senior Pastor in South Carolina, Maryland, and now Kentucky. Apart from national mission trips to Corbin, KY and Cleveland, Ohio, I have had the honor of fulfilling the Great Commission through international mission trips to Samayac, Guatemala, the Amazon Jungles of Peru, and Western Romania. In addition to serving on the Christian Life & Public Affairs Committees at both the South Carolina and Maryland/Delaware Baptist Conventions, I was a Seminary Fellow at Southeastern Seminary, teaching courses in Evangelism, Missions, and Discipleship.
Married to Becky since December 2018, we are raising two teenagers: Taylor and Logan! Meeting and serving together at various church outreach events, God brought our blended family together allowing a young, widowed mother of two to meet her husband.
With my first Sunday being February 16, 2025, I look forward of serving and leading as Senior Pastor of Hart Missionary Baptist Church. My family is excited to explore be Bluegrass State and minister to the people of London, Laurel County, and beyond.
Take the time to get to know me! You may just find out that I enjoy hunting and fishing, watching Atlanta Braves baseball and UGA football, walking/hiking trails, eating at "hole-in-the-wall" restaurants, making people laugh, visiting people, telling life stories, and most of all spending time quality time with people!
